Make a D/Wish is a capsule collection for the restaurant 28Posti designed in collaboration with the chef Marco Ambrosino for the 2018 Milan Design Week. It came from the meeting of two creative talents, and from a story of friendship and mutual respect born chance among the restaurant owners, the chef Ambrosino and the designer Fioravanti. Two worlds that meet and collide: Marco is an atypical and whimsical chef who designs and draws his dishes on paper before making them and Odo is an industrial designer who often creates prototypes of new objects in the his workshop as if he was cooking them. The two-persons creative process was articulated in frequent meetings where a special feeling was created that gave life to a fertile dribble of ideas, a continuous brainstorming on the border between two disciplines - the kitchen and design - that realize to be very close and often coinciding. The project is implemented through a capsule collection that represents the creation of a sequence of dishes where the word "dish" refers - just as in the dictionary – to two meanings: the traditional ceramic object on which the food comes served and by extension also the recipe. So the two have tried to think and design a series of dishes-recipes in which the recipe took shape from the plate and the dish took shape from the recipe, realizing pairs that seem almost inseparable.
