During the Milan Design Week 2019 the collaboration between the chef Marco Ambrosino of 28Posti restaurant and the designer Odo Fioravanti is renewed. Two worlds that meet / clash: an atypical and whimsical chef who designs and draws his dishes on paper before creating them for the 28Posti and an industrial designer who often creates prototypes of new objects in his own laboratory as if he cooked them. The No Place Like Home project is based on a common suggestion for the story of "The Wizard of Oz". The menu of recipes and dishes designed by the chef and the designer retraces the most evocative steps of a story that is part of the collective imagination. A new medium is added to the narration this year, represented by the drawings of the artist Luca Ruali. For Odo Fioravanti, the thought of inspiring the narration of this year's culinary journey to the story of the Wizard of Oz refers to the idea of a multilinear story, laid out on parallel layers that is found in the kitchen as well as in this fascinating and disturbing story . An infinite sequence of hidden meanings, also made up of murders and psychedelic encounters, of a despot who is a magician and an impostor, together. An "acid journey" in which the objects that serve as dishes explore the narrative function of design ". An experience of taste that winds through a cyclical journey inspired by the narrative stages of the story of Victor Fleming and the virtues sought by the characters. Intelligence, heart and courage, these are the qualities that recur in the menu's plot and will be evoked by the dishes. Marco Ambrosino, 28Posti's chef, explains: "This dinner is the result of a work where sign and product merge and the words of a visionary story are translated into objects to eat and food to watch".
