Serif barstool’s and table's design is based on some considerations about classical beauty. This project’s aim is to rethink the aesthetic of products made by a rotational moulding process. As a matter of facts, this technology is often used to produce weird-looking objects. Serif, on the contrary, tries to spread a three dimensional message of grace and composure. Its shape refers to serif typefaces like Times New Roman characterized by details on the ends of some of the strokes that make up letters. Serif stool looks like a big-three-dimensional-typoghraphic character and could remind of a classical column belonging to an indefinite architectural style.
