Taut represents an extreme synthesis on the typology of the candle holder: a simple rectangle of stainless steel is crossed by a sign that skirts the candle. By plastically deforming the steel, this two-dimensional sign is transformed into a three-dimensional handle, freezing the object into a shape that has a strong expressive language.
